Hi friends,
Happy Friday and 12th week of Life With MD. This is the 12th letter I have sent out, a remarkable feat indeed for my shitty inconsistent tendencies.
Borrowing the insights from James Clear: “Small changes often appear to make no difference until you cross a critical threshold. The most powerful outcomes of any compounding process are delayed. You need to be patient.”
Being able to pass thresholds for hard things, I am indebted to the many wonderful (and recently described “low key” by an acquaintance) people in my life: old and new. All of them manifest one, some or many of the qualities I’m writing about today. These are the ones that make me feel heard, alive, energized, inspired, safe, funny, curious. And at the 12th week mark, I’m sharing 12 fitting ‘types’.
While I can say that I am at times lonely in a new city, I am never really lonely in the grand scheme of things for across time zones, cities and countries, I know there are human beings I can count on.
Foods I have been making:
Butter Mochi (inspired by a dear friend, beloved by many)
12 Types of People I Love:
People who share their knowledge and expertise.
People with curiosity.
People with unparalleled patience.
People who ask follow up questions.
People who go through hard times together.
People who are trying.
People with overflowing emotions and empathy.
People with sharp wits.
People who read.
People who have ideas that make you excited for the future.
People who bring you into their world.
People who use their power with poise and generosity.
Hi there, we have met again.
You have reached the end of this letter and I love you for that.
I’d be thrilled if you can give this letter a like by clicking the small heart at the top of the post, and subscribe if you have not already.
As always, this letter is a way to connect and share my thoughts (by no means unique) so please share what you want to see in future letters: comforting words, better food pics, travels writings (I’m FINALLY travelling again next month), adulting life, etc.
See you next week.
Congratulations on your 12th week mark, MD! Thanks for keeping new writings coming out every week, despite your personal schedule and tons of other commitments. The newsletters have been amazing and they have kept me going with soothing and inspiring insights every week. If the 13th type of person to be cherished can be added, this will be the one who writes beautifully as you do :-)
