Hi friends, welcome back to
. Austin has officially entered Fall and that comes with ample opportunities to be outdoor. I have taken a good amount of sunset/evening walks and have been spending as much time as I can outside.Since my last piece noting how I left my job - I have been doing great, catching up with friends and spending quality time with people. I tend to avoid saying how things are going well for fear of jinxing them but it’s nice to feel good.
Things I have been reading
Books:
Currently reading: A Mind for Numbers by Barbara Oakley
Fiction: The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood was one of the better novels I read this year
Non-fiction: Adult children of emotionally immature parents by Lindsay C. Gibson - highly recommended for friends who aim to understand their relationships with parents better

Long walks and finally being able to enjoy sunsets without being grilled outside.
NOLA in the Fall
Had a short visit to The Big Easy with my sweet boyfriend. We stuffed ourselves silly with food and great coffee but it’s time to get back to normal life.
Biscuits, BBQ Shrimp & Grits, Crab Cakes, Etouffee, Gator bites, Poboys and a full-blown French dinner with great ambiance were among some of the things I absolutely will not forget lol.
Petting these golden retrievers at the airport made my day. If you have a double-coated dog(s), please send me photos of them, thank you!
