Hi friends, welcome and happy Tuesday.
This week marks the 10th installment of this happy series. In the ten weeks of doing this, I have developed an appreciation for the power of casual daily gratitude and truly feel happier as a result (many of you have resonated with and love it too)
I will also be introducing a new series soon scheduled to release every other Tuesday when this series is not live. This new series will rotate through multiple topics, each spanning five posts in ten weeks.
I am beyond thrilled to announce this and can’t wait to dive deeper. Some promising areas on my mind are books, education, frameworks, motivation, the immigrant experience, etc. My long-form essays, per usual are still released each Friday.

Here are six things that bring me joy the past two weeks:
Good reads I have been perusing:
Book: See, Solve, Scale
How to do what you love and make good money by Derek Silvers
What makes a dream job? from the 80,000 hours org. I have been reading about the Effective Altruism movement.

They remain in your life after you part ways
Some of the best managers I’ve ever had still keep in touch with me to this day. They remain mentors or advisors, even many years after we worked together. Our relationship is not temporal or work-based. It is a long-term partnership where I feel like I can call on any of them at any moment.
Crushes are just misplaced ambition (been re-reading this a lot recently) from the Mind Mine newsletter
Crushes are such a perfect container to encapsulate this desire for more. Because you can see someone right in front of you, living out that ambition that you have. Maybe they're as successful as you'd like to be one day, or as thoughtful, or as close with their family, or as creative, or as interesting and well-read
Passing the 150 subscribers mark
When I compare 150 (we have grown passed 150 though) with the numbers of more established writers on this platform at 500, 2000, or even 20,000 150 is negligible. But to think of a room of 150 people who are willing to read my writings and listen to my ideas is absolutely wild. Thank you for being here and fulfilling my childhood dream of becoming a writer.
My writing is not for everyone. It is not designed to be clickbaity or can satisfy your instant dopamine need. It requires time and heart to digest. That is why I appreciate anyone who reads long-form writings in a time where quick hits entertainment is king and online content requires at most 15 seconds of your attention.
I met my favorite author Austin Kleon this past Sunday at the Texas Book Festival. I read his second book Show Your Work my junior year of college and dreamt about a day when I had the courage to pursue writing. That day is so near.
I am joining a fellowship to learn about Product Management. If you have a good book or favorite resource on PM, feel free to give suggestions. Thanks Linh be for introducing me to this opportunity.
Did I tell you about the time the COO of Substack retweeted me:
I started a Substack chat for the Life with MD newsletter. Think Discord but more intimate. To access this, download the substack app and go to the second icon from the left.
My vision for this publication is to extend beyond the boundary of a weekly email in your inbox but a convening space for ideas and discussion to happen.
On here, I will share what I am currently reading, learning, and thinking about. Join me as we talk about all things beautiful and creative.
My favorite chats so far are Bookbear Express and Half-baked futures.
Thank you for reading. Please subscribe if you have not already, new writings are out every Friday and Tuesday.
Leave a comment on anything you want to share.
Congratulations for both hitting 150 subscribers AND for meetin Austin Kleon!
Congrats on passing the 150 mark. I have to remind myself of that as well, my writing wont be for everyone and it's okay.
