Hi friends,
I cannot believe we are onto the last Happy things installment of 2022. This series has been my lifeline since June when I went through my “new graduate blues” phase. It’s funny how I recently met someone in the exact position that I was in half a year ago: struggling to adapt to working life, trying to make friends, etc. She reminded me of how hard and isolating that transition can be. Worries and crises creep in slowly and sometimes they hit you like a truck.
After this year, two things I put on top of my priority list are people and education. Prioritize these and you will go far, intellectually, financially, and emotionally.
Six fun milestones:
I moved to a new city and made a lot of friends.
Peek this post when I first moved to Austin and wrote the first ever post in the city.
Got my driver’s license.
Ran my first 5K and 10K race 🏁
Did a lot of volunteer and community engagement work.
Saved aggressively and reached my goal.
