I like to think of love as a hearth; the warm spot in front of a fireplace. It takes a moment after the spark to warm up. Once it does, it stays warm and cozy to sit by and listen to the crackling sound of the fire.

Love is hard work. The easy love we enjoy is made possible by all the hard work put in from each person. At first it sounds tiring and scary but by practicing and being patient, we get used to it. When love becomes easy, everything else becomes easy: difficult conversations become the normal exchange of ideas, kindness becomes a daily habit, gratitude appears in every moment.

If you meet a guy and find it easy to love him, it is not because love is easy, but because that person has transformed himself to make love easy, learning from all the painful lessons in the past. Guys would barely talk about his horrible past experiences; he just learned and provides love.
